Furlong Tyres has been a motorcycle tyre dealer since 1976. Fred Furlong started out trading from home in 1975, and the shop has been at 10 Manor Road, Yeovil since 1979.
Today Paul runs the shop, and the racks hold all types of motorcycle and quad tyres, from road and race to trials, MotoX and classic. We supply both trade and retail customers.

We supply and fit all types of bike tyre. Whatever you ride, ask us for your size.
Tubeless puncture? We repair tubeless punctures to the highest standards, leaving them as good as new and capable of the original load and speed ratings.
Option 1
We can professionally remove your wheels on site in our wheel removal bay, fit the new tyres, and put the wheels back on, all by appointment.
Option 2
Prefer to take the wheels off yourself? Bring them in and we will fit your tyres to the loose wheels without damage.

I was on leave from work, heading for Lands End when I had a puncture 10 miles from Yeovil. I thought my holiday was scuppered but Paul and Connor saved the day by fitting my bike in for a new pair of tyres without delay. After a cup of coffee and a chat, the job was done and I was on my way. I can't recommend Furlong Tyres enough. It's local businesses like this that combine genuinely friendly staff with expertise that only time and experience can create, that we should all support. Simply the best!

I was on a trip. Had a worn tire that needed urgent replacing. Some other shop recomended this place. Gave Paul a call first thing in the morning. He had the right tire in stock and he squezeed me in into his schedule. Even made me coffee. Absolute legend! I was on the road at 10 AM.
Can’t fault Paul and Connor for their customer service at all. I arrived last minute due to my work schedule. They were happy enough and helpful enough to squeeze me in and send me on my way. Which they did not need to do. I would recommend furlong tyres to anybody after motorbike tyres.
Needed both tyres replaced as at point of being illegal, got me in quick. Decent pricing, great service had a lovely chat with both of them in there, great work and pretty quick too, explain everything they’re doing and how to ride them in etc, great local business that’s been around a while and needs to stay. I’d be definitely going again for tyres in the future. See you guys next time i need tyres 👍👍
Fred Furlong founded the business, and for years he raced on the drag strip as “Fast Freddie” Furlong, UK National 9.50 Drag Bike Champion. Paul raced too, on an 8.50 bike for Team Furlong Tyres.
The trophies came from the strip. The business has always been Manor Road: supplying tyres, valves, tubes, mousse, rim tapes and security bolts to the riders of Yeovil and beyond.
We work by appointment, so give Paul a call on 01935 425888 before you ride over. If we are busy with a bike, leave a message and we will ring you back.
Ride in and we can take the wheels off in our wheel removal bay, or bring your loose wheels and we will fit the tyres to them.
Riders on tour have pulled in with a puncture or a worn tyre and been back on the road the same morning. Call us and we will do our best to fit you in.
